Guides & answers
All 9 guides →How the start/sit tool and trade calculator work
Start/sit in one line: start the player with the higher start score, which blends 50% this week's projection (Sleeper/RotoWire), 25% the last three games (nflverse) and 25% season points per game, reduced if he's Questionable (×0.85), Doubtful (×0.25) or Out (0).
Trades in one line: a dynasty trade is fair when both sides are within 5% after extra pieces are discounted, because one star is worth more than two average starters.
Formulas
Worked example
Team A trades a player worth 8,000. Team B sends two players worth 5,000 and 4,000. The raw totals (8,000 vs 9,000) favor Team B, but after the depth discount Team B's side counts as 5,000 + 0.75 × 4,000 = 8,000. That's even, so the trade is fair. The team getting the single best player usually comes out ahead on roster spots.
Key terms
- Dynasty league: you keep your whole roster year to year, so age and future picks matter.
- Superflex: one lineup slot can be a quarterback, which makes QBs far more valuable.
- TE premium: tight ends get extra points per catch.
- PPR: one point per reception (Half PPR = 0.5).

Frequently asked questions
Who should I start this week?
Start the player with the higher start score: 50% this week's projection (Sleeper/RotoWire), 25% the last three games (nflverse) and 25% season points per game, reduced for injury status (Questionable × 0.85, Doubtful × 0.25, Out or IR = 0). Check news before kickoff, since injuries and weather change fast.
How does the dynasty trade calculator value players?
Player values are a composite of four free sources: DynastyProcess expert consensus (40%), Sleeper dynasty ADP (30%), Fantasy Football Calculator dynasty ADP (15%) and nflverse on-field production (15%). Each source is put on the same scale by positional rank and blended; weights re-normalise when a source is unavailable. Draft pick values come from DynastyProcess. The methodology page lists every source and its license.
Why does a 2-for-1 trade look worse than the totals suggest?
Roster spots are limited, so one great player is usually worth more than two good ones. The calculator counts the best piece in full and discounts extra pieces (75%, 55%, 40% and so on), which is the same idea as KeepTradeCut's value adjustment.
What counts as a fair trade?
The calculator calls a trade fair when the two sides are within 5% of each other after the depth discount. Bigger gaps say which side wins and suggest players who would balance it.
Does it work for superflex and TE premium leagues?
Yes. Superflex converts every source with the DynastyProcess superflex value curve, which lifts quarterbacks. TE premium adds 15% to tight end values.
Can I import my Sleeper league?
Yes. Enter your Sleeper username, pick a league, and the tool loads your roster, fills your league's starting slots with the highest-scoring players this week and lists your bench. It uses Sleeper's free public API and needs no login or password.
Where does the data come from and how often is it updated?
Player info, injuries, stats, projections and ADP come from the free Sleeper public API. Dynasty values are a composite of DynastyProcess (GPL-3.0), Sleeper and Fantasy Football Calculator ADP and nflverse stats (CC BY 4.0). A GitHub Action refreshes the data every morning.
Is this a betting site?
No. This is a free fantasy football tool for season-long leagues. It doesn't take bets or link to sportsbooks. Paid fantasy contests are for adults 21 and older where legal. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, call or text 1-800-GAMBLER.
